ENVIRONMENTAL RESPECT

The Ellipse® and its mooring line is an underwater anchoring system developed by Nautiscaphe. Used in particular for mooring, it completely eliminates the phenomenon of the chains chafing and preserves tens of square meters of marine flora. The screw thread of the Ellipse® has been calculated so as not to chop the rhizomes of posidonia when inserted into the sea bed.

This type of anchorage has a positive carbon footprint: in the context of a port, (Pontoon anchorage, main chain anchorage) the CO2 emission is 18 times less than an equivalent concrete anchor installation (source: CNRS study), with 53 t of emissions from the concrete installation and just 3 t from the Ellipse® Nautiscaphe.
